NUJ New Media Chapel Scribe Dapo Falade Gets Makinde’s SSA Appointment, 10 Others Named

The NUJ New Media Chapel scribe, Mr Dapo Falade, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Information and Orientation by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, alongside 10 other appointees to various positions in the state government.

The appointments, which take immediate effect, cover information and orientation, housing, rural development, chieftaincy, sports, urban development, culture and tourism, works, as well as membership of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

Also appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Information and Orientation is Ms Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa.

Pastor Akin Alamu, immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and former member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, was appointed a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

Mr Elijah Kolawole Akanmu was appointed Special Adviser on Housing and Board Member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Mr Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was named Special Adviser on Rural Development.

The appointments were conveyed in letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Ph.D.

Other appointees include Mr Yinka Oladoyinbo, who was named Executive Assistant on Information and Orientation, and Hon. Seun Adelore, appointed Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters.

Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, a former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, was appointed Executive Assistant, Sports Commission.

Mr Ogundele Quadri was appointed Special Assistant on Urban Development, while Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, was named Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism.

Mr Ibrahim Abayomi was also appointed Executive Assistant, Works.

Governor Makinde charged the newly appointed officials to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.

The appointments take immediate effect.
