Navy Debunks Fake 2026 Batch 39 Recruitment Notice

The Nigerian Navy has warned prospective recruits against a fake 2026 Batch 39 recruitment notice circulating online, saying the purported announcement was not issued through any of its authorised channels.

The warning was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Naval Information, Capt. Abiodun Folorunsho, who urged members of the public to disregard the circulating notice and verify recruitment information through official Navy platforms.

Folorunsho said details concerning the Navy’s recruitment exercise, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines and categories, would only be released through authorised communication channels.

He cautioned prospective applicants against relying on recruitment information shared by unofficial social media accounts, websites and other unauthorised sources.

The Director also warned against paying individuals, agents or online platforms claiming to facilitate recruitment into the Nigerian Navy, stressing that the exercise is free.

According to him, the Navy does not appoint third parties to recruit applicants or collect recruitment fees on its behalf.

He identified joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng as the official recruitment portal and navy.mil.ng as the service’s official website for verified information.

Folorunsho said the Navy remained committed to ensuring a transparent and credible recruitment process and would continue to provide timely information through its official communication channels.
