ICPC Spokesperson, John Odey, said this in a statement on Friday in Abuja. He quoted the ICPC Chairman, Musa Aliyu, as saying this while addressing newsmen at the State House after briefing President Bola Tinubu in Abuja on Friday. The ICPC chairman said that the fresh finding was an offshoot of the ongoing investigations of the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) promoted by Adeniyi Matthew. According to him, the fake agency is known as the “National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office.” He said the agency was alleged to be promoted by one Mr George Nwabueze with suspected active collaboration of senior public servants in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF). According to him, the suspected promoter of the fake agency, Mr George Nwabueze, has been discovered to operate under four variants of his name: Prince George Buch Nwabueze, l George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze and George Nwabueze. The ICPC chairman said that he has briefed the president on the fresh findings. “Upon Friday’s briefing, Tinubu ordered the arrest of the said Mr George Buchi Nwabueze as well as the immediate suspension of three permanent secretaries in the OSGF.” “The suspended permanent secretaries include: MS Danjuma, Nandungu Gagare and Richard Pheelangwa,” he said. He said that the ICPC remained committed to the rule of law and due process in the fight against corruption.
