‘Where Is Mr. Right?’: Funke Akindele Sets Aug. 15 Prime Video Premiere

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is set to premiere her latest film, Where Is Mr. Right?, on Prime Video on August 15.

Akindele announced the release date on her X handle, where she shared the film’s official poster and informed her followers that the movie would be available on the streaming platform on the scheduled date.

Produced by the Funke Akindele Network, Where Is Mr. Right? was directed by Tunde Olaoye and features Akindele alongside Blossom Chukwujekwu, Baba Rex, Bisola Aiyeola and Omowunmi Dada.

The film’s arrival on Prime Video adds to the growing number of Nigerian productions finding audiences through international streaming platforms, giving local stories and talents wider exposure beyond the country.

For Akindele, the project further extends her work as an actress, filmmaker and producer, following her involvement in several successful Nigerian film and television productions.

The August 15 premiere will see Where Is Mr. Right? join the expanding catalogue of Nigerian films available to audiences through global digital streaming platforms, further highlighting the reach of the country’s creative industry.
