Makinde Reshuffles Oyo Government, Names New Advisory Council Members

‎Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved new appointments and reassignments across key government institutions, including the State Advisory Council, Hospitals Management Board and Housing Corporation.

‎Three new members have been appointed to the Oyo State Advisory Council, chaired by legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde.

‎The new members are Engr. Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Bankole.

‎In a related development, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.

‎The appointments were contained in letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.

‎The governor also approved the reassignment of three officials to new positions.

‎Mrs. Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, formerly a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.

‎Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency.

‎He replaces Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement.

‎Also, Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, formerly a member of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), has been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.

‎All the appointments and reassignments took effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.

‎Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
